Now in his fifth year with HDI, Andy serves as the company’s Vice President of Business Development and a member of the HDI Leadership Team. Since joining the team at HDI in 2020, HDI has grown by 10X and maintained a 90% client retention rate year over year. Andy came to HDI after spending a decade in college basketball, where he was a part of six different programs and where he worked under eight different head coaches. He began his career in college basketball at the University of Illinois, where he received his undergraduate degree and served as a manager for the Illinois men’s basketball team. After graduating from Illinois, he served as a graduate assistant for the men’s basketball team at Austin Peay State University, where he received a master’s degree.
He then served as an assistant coach at the JUCO and NCAA Division II levels before later serving as Director of Basketball Operations for the New Mexico State and North Texas men’s basketball teams, receiving another master’s degree along the way. During his time with those programs, Andy was a part of four NCAA Tournament teams (and in position for a fifth prior to the cancellation of the 2020 tournament).
Andy brings to HDI a strong familiarity with the college basketball coaching community, a hunger to succeed, and a profound belief in the ability of HDI to have a positive impact on teams’ success.
